KVUE has had a long-standing tradition for reporting the news fairly and accurately. KVUE has been the recipient of many AP awards, including the 2002 award for Best Newscast. KVUE also has a very good track record for keeping its anchors for a steady job. Judy Maggio until recently spent her entire career reporting news for KVUE. Ron Olivera came back to the station following a brief hiatus
and move to KXAN.	.Vital Statistics:
KVUE has its own "news network," utilizing the resources of the rest of the BELO-owned stations as well as TXCN (Texas Cable News) reporters. The station even has a dedicated Washington, DC bureau.	*KVUE began operation as an ABC affiliate September 12, 1971. The news was called "K-Vue Action News (24)." *KVUE remains to date the only Austin news-covering station to change neither call leters nor network affiliation. *Anchor Ron Olivera co-owns KNVA (WB 54) and the Austin Univision and TeleFutura stations. *Would you like to see KVUE's original logo?
